Scorpion Manpack Lite
The Scorpion-Lite (MP60L) is a fully integrated satcom terminal and has been designed to be a fully integrated compact system that will allow the user access on most airlines with all that is needed for a complete satellite uplink.
The terminal components (BUC, LNB, Modem and batteries) are all selected for industry leading manufactures with individual environmental ratings to excel in harshest of environments.
All the waveguide flanges are sealed with neoprene o-rings to keep moisture and dust out of the RF Tx and Rx chain to ensure operation in extreme wet, dust and sand conditions.
All the interconnection interfaces are sealed to IP65 which will give the terminal complete protection from dust/sand ingestion and driving water (in all directions).
The MP60L has the unique Holkirk MPAD which will allow the user to set-up, acquire and commission the satellite link without the need to take a laptop into the field once again increasing the reliability and usability of the system in harsh environments).
The MPAD will clearly show the user the direction to point the antenna and then gives a visual indication of LOCK and SIGNAL strength.
