Comtech Vipersat Networks’ provides a method for control of synchronous modems via IP. This is accomplished using our TDM/STDMA switching technology. Establishment and on-going management of vital secure communications networks is easy with CVNIs’ unique approach to intelligent satellite bandwidth management.

Using Comtech Vipersat Networks VCS (Vipersat Circuit Scheduler) STAR or MESH secure communications links can be established either on a scheduled or AD HOC basis. Links are set up based on commands from VMS, there is no requirement for manually setting modem frequencies bit rates, clock settings, etc. This removes the chance of human error resulting in long communications outages during critical periods. The overlay network can be used for Internet traffic, administrative and personal email, non-secure file transfers and, with the addition of switched demodulators at the hub, streaming applications such as video-conferencing and VoIP.
