CRS-100 1:1
Redundancy Switch is a companion product for use with
Comtech EFData CDM-500, CDM-550 or CDM-550T modems. Its
purpose is to continuously monitor a pair of modems in a redundant configuration, so that the unit automatically switches data and IF signals from the failed unit to the standby unit if an equipment failure or undesired traffic condition occur. In this manner, traffic paths are fully protected, and the system operator can have increased confidence that equipment failures will not adversely affect system availability. |

CRS-150 1:1
Redundancy Switch is a companion product for use with
Comtech EFData CDM-600 modems. Designed to continuously
monitor a pair of modems in a redundant configuration, it automatically switches data and IF signals from a failed unit to the standby unit, if an equipment failure or undesired traffic condition occurs. With the CRS-150, traffic paths are fully protected, giving our users increased confidence that equipment failures will not adversely affect system availability. The CRS-150 provides full protection for all Open Network overhead signals (IDR Backward Alarms, Overhead data channels, Audio, etc.), as well as external reference signals. |

CRS-170 1:1
Redundancy Switch is a companion product used with
Comtech EF Data L-Band modems: CDM-570L, CDM-600L and
CRS-150, SDM-300L3 and SMS-301, SNM-1001L and SMS-301,
SLM-3650L and SMS-301. The 1:1 switching assures fully
protected data and signal paths and provides increased
confidence that equipment failures will not adversely
affect system availability. A block diagram illustrates the basic connection for the CDM-570 and the SDM-300L3 modems. |

CRS-200 1:10 modem
redundancy switch provides fully automatic or manual
redundancy of CDM-550 satellite modems. The protection system consists of a maximum of 10 traffic modems, a redundant modem, and the CRS-200 redundancy switch. A CRS-280 IF switch is available if multiple satellite transponders are used. The CRS-200 supports interface types of EIA-422, V.35, EIA-232, and G.703*, offering users the flexibility of mixing data interface types within the same redundancy group. |

CRS-280L 1:N
Redundancy Switch is a companion product used with
Comtech EF Data L-Band modems and redundancy switches:
CDM-570L and CRS-300, CDM-600L and CRS-300, SDM-300L3
and SMS-7000, SLM-3650L and SMS-7000 When combined with the applicable data switch, the CRS-280L fully protects L-Band signal paths and increases the confidence that equipment failures will not adversely affect system availability. A block diagram illustrates the 1:N architecture. |

CRS-300 1:10 modem redundancy switch provides fully automatic or manual redundancy of CDM-600 satellite modems. The protection system consists of a maximum of 10 traffic modems, a redundant modem, and the CRS-300 redundancy switch. A CRS-280 IF switch is available if multiple satellite transponders are used. A CRS-350 ESC switch is available for open network ESC redundancy switching. | Data Sheet
CRS-400 1:8 Modem
Redundancy Switch provides fully automatic redundancy of
traffic circuits for the SDM-2020 Modulators and
Demodulators. The data interface currently supported is HSSI. Other features include: 1 backup modulator, demodulator, or both. Up to 8 traffic modulators or demodulators. Optional HSSI and IF cables. RS-485 remote communication cables to each modulator or demodulator, Optional: CRS-280L 1:N Redundant switch (70/140 MHz IF). Independent or dependent operation |

SMS-301 is a fully programmable 1:1 protection switch providing complete redundancy for one prime and one backup modem. The SMS-301 switch is designed to operate with Comtech EFData satellite modems and is a direct replacement for the SMS-651B 70/140 MHz switch. Programming the SMS-301 is accomplished through the front panel keyboard or the remote interface. Complete functionality control and monitoring of switch status and faults are easily accessed through the remote port connection. | Data Sheet
SMS-451 is an automated 1:1 protection switch for high data rate SDM-2020 and SDM-9000 satellite modems. The SMS-451 simultaneously switches data and IF. The switch can be ordered with either independent or dependent switching of modulator and demodulator. If a fault is detected in the online modulator or demodulator, a switch to the offline modem will occur. The switching will only occur if the backup is not in a faulted condition. | Data Sheet
SMS-458B 1:N high
data rate modem protection switch provides automatic
redundancy for the Comtech EFData SDM-9000 modems. The
SMS-458B switch provides automatic redundancy protection
for up to four online modems with one backup modem. The SMS-451A protection switch is a related product, providing 1:1 high rate modem protection. The SMS-458B directly switches the IF output of the backup modem to replace the IF output of any of the prime modems (up to four). The backup demodulator may be switched to receive any one of four down converters. A low loss-combining network can be used for a specific number of transponders. |
